- Local teacher Ali Jun recently was awarded the Milken Educator Award along with a $25,000 cash prize! Jun has been a music teacher at Beverly S. Mathis Elementary School for around 16 years and teaches students from kindergarten to fifth grade. Her students adore her creativity and passion for teaching. Congratulations to Jun! (News3LV)
- The Palms is back again, and this time it doesn't plan on closing anytime soon. The updated casino kicked off its reopening with a big VIP party last Wednesday. It was all made possible by Southern California’s San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, who are the first indigenous tribe to own a Las Vegas casino. (KNPR)
