Here are the top three stories today in Las Vegas:
- After the unprecedented leak of a document indicating the supreme court's intent to overturn Roe v. Wade, hundreds of protesters gathered outside the Federal Court House in Las Vegas. Several Nevada lawmakers joined the protesters, who called on President Joe Biden to protect reproductive rights. (News3LV)
- Artists and aspiring artists who are at least 50 years old are invited to submit their work to be part of the Celebrating Life Exhibition at the Charleston Heights Arts Center. Categories for submission include painting, photography, and ceramics. Entries are due by May 18, and a "best in show" winner will be announced during a reception and awards ceremony on May 27. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is calling for changes to the Las Vegas Strip pedestrian bridges. LVMPD said crowds on the bridges create an opportunity for criminal activity, and because of the elevated position of the bridges, it's more difficult for officers to spot crimes taking place. The city is looking to adopt an ordinance that would prevent people from loitering on the bridges. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)

- Mother's Day Tea Party - Rainbow Library (11:00 AM)

From my notebook:
- A four-week-old kitten named Savannah survived a dumpster fire in Las Vegas. She suffered burnt paws and singed fur and whiskers in the fire, and she is currently undergoing treatment in the Animal Foundation's kitten nursery. Savannah will eventually go to a foster home to continue healing. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
- Executives claim Caesars Entertainment is on track to reach a sale agreement for one of its Las Vegas properties, though the company has not yet said which properties are up for sale. CEO Tom Reeg said an agreement should be reached by mid-summer. (News3LV)
