Here are the top three stories today in Las Vegas:
- According to estimates by AAA, some 39 million people will be traveling 50 miles or more for Memorial Day Weekend. The travel comes at the expense of high gas prices which currently average $4.60 nationwide. Of those traveling, a record 90 percent will be driving. I-15 might be a little busier than usual. (KDWN)
- The Nevada State Police have seized millions of dollars worth of narcotics in a new drug bust. The multi-agency operation occurred between May 6 and 12 within the Moapa River Indian Reservation. According to officials, police seized 2,100 pounds of narcotics worth $11.7 million. Learn more about the operation at the link. (News3LV)
- Culinary Workers Local 226 celebrated an all-new union contract with Resorts World Las Vegas. The contract covers more than 2,000 employees and was ratified by 99 percent of the workforce. The Culinary Workers union represents about 60,000 workers in and around Las Vegas. They last negotiated a first-time union contract in 2015 with The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. (Nevada Independent)

- Las Vegas Valley Water District wants to remind you about time-of-day watering restrictions. From 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., landscape irrigation is a no-go. (Facebook)
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada celebrate the completion of the UPS Road Code Program. The program teaches teens safe driving techniques based in part on actual UPS driver training. (Facebook)
