• 22nd Annual 'Golf Fore Kids' tournament opens registration to support local holiday toy drive (mvprogress.com) — Mesquite golfers and donors can now plan for the Dec. 10 Golf Fore Kids tournament, which raises toys and funds for children in Virgin Valley, Moapa Valley and nearby Arizona communities. Entry is at least $100 in new toys per golfer, with donations distributed through the Salvation Army, the Mesquite Fire Department and local schools to brighten local holidays.
   

• Virgin Valley High School celebrates 2026 homecoming week (mvprogress.com) — Virgin Valley High School students in Mesquite wrapped up a spirited homecoming week with themed dress-up days, lunchtime games, and a community Mesquite Homecoming Parade. The celebrations culminated in a homecoming football game against Pahrump Valley and a lively dance, where classmates crowned Madelyn Wright and Drew Dixon as the 2026 Homecoming Queen and King.
