VAMC Expanding Primary Care to Additional Location Oct. 7 VA Southern Nevada health care (va.gov) — If you get care at the North Las Vegas VA Medical Center, some primary care appointments will shift from Building 1 to Building 5 starting Oct. 7. The move affects several named clinics, adds nearby covered parking, and is meant to give veterans a more modern, coordinated, and accessible care experience, with notifications going out by mail and text.
   

2. The Just One Project Brings Fresh Food and Community Support to North Las Vegas VAMC VA Southern Nevada health care (va.gov) — Veterans and families in North Las Vegas can soon shop an affordable mobile grocery market at the VA Medical Center every fourth Tuesday, starting September 22. The Just One Project’s "Groceries on the Go" will offer discounted fresh produce and staples, accept SNAP, and connect visitors with broader support services like housing and workforce assistance, strengthening local food security.
   

3. Community briefs: Aria Patisserie debuts an enchanted forest made entirely of sugar and chocolate (lasvegassun.com) — North Las Vegas residents are invited to a Wednesday groundbreaking at Aviary Park for a 2.7-mile I-215 Northern Beltway Trail extension that will add lighting, landscaping, and signage while linking North Decatur, Clayton, North Fifth, and Losee. The community-briefs piece also highlights a youth aviation day, a Henderson small-business program, a Sphere–Lyft partnership, and a Mob Museum bourbon release.
   

4. North Las Vegas expansion of 215 Beltway trail opens new ways for cyclists to avoid streets (8newsnow.com) — North Las Vegas is about to break ground on a major I-215 Northern Beltway Trail expansion that will give local cyclists safer, off-street routes connecting North Decatur, Clayton, and eventually North 5th Street. The multi-phase project, finishing its first segment in 2027, is part of an 86-mile regional loop and could eventually link to Henderson and future trails toward Tule Springs.
   

5.
