City of Reno to stop use of Flock Cameras, will ask City Council to consider alternative (2news.com) — Reno officials are ending their contracts for Flock license plate cameras and related technology, and will ask the City Council on Oct. 21 to consider a new vendor. City leaders and the police chief say they still support using technology for public safety, but want tools that better address community and council concerns about how these systems are used.

2. 44th Great Italian Festival takes over downtown Reno (2news.com) — Downtown Reno is packed this weekend as the 44th Great Italian Festival fills the streets with food, grape stomping, and live entertainment under the Reno Arch.
