Alleged Stalking Fugitive From NH Bagged In Tennessee
Marshals: James Trott, a felon with gang affiliations, threatened to "commit suicide by cop" instead of returning to NH to face charges.

CLEVELAND, TN — A New Hampshire felon, wanted for stalking and on the run from police in the Granite State, was captured in Tennessee this week, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. James Trott, 27, formerly of Manchester, was arrested on April 24, 2019, in Cleveland, TN, according to The Chattanoogan.
Law enforcement in Bradley County received tips that Trott might be in the area. The Smoky Mountains Fugitive Task Force worked with local police to find Trott and informed him of an active warrant in New Hampshire. According to the report, Trott told marshals that he would not be returning to the Granite State to face the charges while threatening to “shoot it out with cops” or “commit suicide by cop.”
Trott – a felon – was prohibited from possessing a firearm. He also reportedly “made other non-direct life-threatening comments toward police and prosecutors.” The task force, however, was able to take him into custody, without incident.
