A weakening tropical storm could bring rain for the early part of the week here in New Hampshire but then, the nice weather is expected to return, according to forecasters.

Accuweather.com is suggesting that the summerlike warmth will ease back into the region after Tropical Storm Ana brings rain showers and thunderstorms, which will be a welcome relief for a state already scorched by brushfires this month.

Expect the rain to start on Sunday night and run through Tuesday night, according to reports.

The National Weather Service is predicting that there won’t be buckets of rain – maybe up to a quarter of an inch – but every little bit helps.

Tonight, expect mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain, high temperatures in the low 60s.

On Monday, similar conditions with temps in the upper 60s and potential fog during the evening, with highs in the mid-50s.

More showers are expected on Tuesday during the morning through early afternoon, possibly into the evening.

After that, the nice weather returns, with sunny skies during the day and highs in the mid-to-upper 60s on Wednesday and Thursday, with evenings lows in the 40s.
