MANCHESTER, NH — A Queen City felon pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a firearm in U.S. District Court Monday. Christopher Mann, 35, of Manchester, made the admission in court after the U.S. Marshals Service served a search warrant on him on April 16, 2018, after he violated his supervised release from a prior offense. Mann was in a vehicle that was owned by his girlfriend at the time of his arrest.

A deputy marshal seized a Glock .357 caliber handgun from Mann's pocket at the time of the arrest. Two cartridges full of ammunition was found on a seat, according to court statements.

As a felon, Mann was prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition. He served 12 years in prison for interfering with commerce by threat or violence and use of a firearm in a crime of violence. At the time, he was a Fugitive of the Week after escaping a drug treatment facility in Dublin after being on supervised release. He was tracked down a few days later in Manchester.
