Manhunt Underway For NH Shooting Suspect

Breaking: Police are asking for assistance finding Thomas Holland of Manchester, formerly of Massachusetts, after a shooting Thursday.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Police have released the identity of a Queen City man who is wanted after an alleged shooting on Amherst Street in Thursday morning. Thomas Holland, 31, of Manchester, is wanted on a single count of felon in possession of a dangerous weapon. According to police, at just before 8 a.m. on Sept. 7, 2017, officers were sent to Beech Street for a report of a shooting.

The victim was later found on Central Street but according to the investigation, was shot in a rooming house on Amherst Street, Sgt. Ken Loui of the Manchester Police Department noted in a statement. Police and a SWAT team were called to the rooming house but the suspect was not in the building. They were reportedly communicating with him not long after the building raid. Police on Friday night requested the public’s help finding Holland.

Holland is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighs around 250 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was living at the rooming house on 170 Amherst St. but hasn’t been seen there since the start of the investigation, according to Loui.

Holland may be driving a Jeep Cherokee with New York or New Jersey plates – dark numbers on yellow or orange. He also has a 2000 Honda Accord coupe NH plate 4224679 and a gray 2002 Lexus IS300 sedan NH Plate 4243901, according to police.

Holland has lived in North Haverhill, Berlin, and Brockton, MA, and has family in Taunton, MA.

The investigation is ongoing.
