New Bedford Development Gets a New Name
Encore Commercial LLC has given its new mixed-use project next to Whole Foods a new name.

BEDFORD, NH – The new mixed-use development complex to be constructed in Bedford at the former Macy’s location will officially be named Market and Main, according to Encore Commercial LLC, the developer.

“We wanted a name that carried symbolism,” said Nicholas Barber, president of Encore Commercial, in a press statement. “The development will offer dining, shopping, entertainment, and more, creating a one-stop-shop marketplace for the town of Bedford.”

Barber noted that plans are underway to construct Main Street, which will be a central artery leading to the development.
“With the highly successful grand opening of the new Whole Foods Market just behind us, we are pleased to see that the area is quickly growing into an exceptional regional destination for citizens of Bedford and Manchester,” said Bedford Town Manager, Richard Sawyer. “Market and Main will be a first-rate addition to the area, bringing exciting new shopping, dining and recreational opportunities to our residents.”

Potential tenants for the complex are being lined up, according to Barber. Construction is expected to commence in 2017.
