President Trump Called Woburn Supporter He Fat-Shamed At NH Rally

The 64-year-old man told The Boston Globe even if Trump was making fun of him, "He's still my president. I love the guy."

"That guy's got a serious weight problem ... Go home. Start exercising. Get him out of here, please," Trump said.

MANCHESTER, NH — President Trump — in typical Trump fashion — knocked a lot of people in his re-election rally speech Thursday night. But aside from getting his usual licks in to his political opponents and the "fake news" media, he apparently took aim at one of his supporters

Trump stepped away from the microphone for a moment while protesters were ushered out in the balcony seats. Trump remained more or less restrained until picking out one attendee in particular.

"That guy's got a serious weight problem," Trump told the raucous crowd at Southern New Hampshire University. "Go home. Start exercising. Get him out of here, please."

Trump then said the man has "a bigger problem than I do."

The Boston Globe identified the man as Frank Dawson, 64, of Woburn — a Trump supporter who was wearing a "Trump 2020" shirt at the rally.

Dawson confirmed earlier reports that Trump left him a voicemail while aboard Air Force One. He didn't go into details — The New York Times reported Trump thanked the man for his support and insisted he wasn't making fun of him, but rather someone else.

Dawson told The Globe even if Trump was making fun of him, it's all good.

"It wouldn’t really matter," Dawson told The Globe. "He’s still my president. I love the guy. I love what he’s doing for this country ... If President Trump gets good press out of it, I love it.”
