Queen City Cops Seek Tips After Granite State Credit Union Is Robbed

The Elm Street location was hit on Tuesday morning. During the incident, the suspect was carrying a multi-colored Aldi shopping bag.

MANCHESTER, NH — The Manchester Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a Tuesday morning credit union robbery.

Around 11:30 a.m., police were sent to the Granite State Credit Union at 1415 Elm St. for a robbery report. Officers learned the suspect entered the credit union while carrying a multi-colored Aldi shopping bag. He was wearing a maroon and white scarf across his face, Heather Hamel, the public information officer for the department, said.

The suspect was described as a Black man with a larger build, around 6 feet 2 inches tall to 6 feet 5 inches tall. Along with the scarf, the suspect also wore a gray beanie cap, dark sweatshirt, sweatpants, tan shoes, and sunglasses, she said.

“A K-9 track was conducted but was unsuccessful,” Hamel said.
