Queen City Man Arrested On Child Murder Charges

Breaking: Mark Heath, a resident of Howe Street in Manchester, is accused of murdering Jacob Pelletier, a 2-year-old boy.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office has announced an arrest in the case of a child killed two days ago in Manchester, according to a press release. Mark Heath, 32, of Howe Street in Manchester, has been arrested on two counts of second-degree murder. According to Susan Morrell, a senior assistant attorney general, Heath lives on the second floor of the apartment building where the victim – 2-year-old Jacob Pelletier – lived.

One count alleges that Heath “acted knowingly” while the second charge alleges that he “acted recklessly.”

A GoFundMe.com site was set up two days ago by a Londonderry woman to help the family offset the cost of the boy's funeral. The effort has raised more than half of the $10,000 goal at post time.

Heath was arrested earlier this evening and will be arraigned tomorrow.
