Queen City Park Shooting Suspect Arrested
Breaking: Wade Gop of Manchester was arrested tonight after allegedly shooting a teen, who was sitting on a park bench, in the face.

MANCHESTER, NH — Police in Manchester have arrested a Manchester man after he allegedly shot a teenager in the face on Aug. 27, 2017, according to police. Investigators charged Wade Gop, 22, of Manchester, with attempted murder on Sept. 12, 2017. Police have been investigating the incident after a 17-year-old was reportedly shot in the face while sitting on a park bench at Adventure Park.

“A witness described a yellow vehicle fleeing from the scene at a high rate of speed after the shooting,” according to Sgt. Ken Loui of the Manchester Police Department. “This vehicle was subsequently located on Main Street, with blood and ballistic evidence inside. It was seized and further processed by members of the Investigative Division.”
An investigation by the juvenile division resulted in a warrant being issued against Gop.

“This began a citywide search for Gop culminating in his arrest this evening by members of the Special Enforcement Division (SED) and the Gang Prevention Unit, who employed extensive surveillance efforts to locate Gop and safely effect his arrest,” Loui stated.
