Police went to Pine Street, eyed the SUV, and found a small area that had been spray-painted orange with a piece of duct tape covering a small area. There was also paint on the ground, a report said. The officer attempted to contact the SUV owner but could not and cleared the scene.
Around 9:45 a.m., detectives were back on Pine Street and contacted the SUV’s owner. One detective spotted a bullet hole in the lower portion of the front passenger door. The woman confirmed her Nissan was shot at outside the Dollar Deluxe on Union Street. She said she was with two others at the time, the report said.
The detectives spoke with one of the other people in the car, another woman, 20, who said they were picked up at West High School, sat in the back seat, and went to get food at Dollar Deluxe. While they were driving there, she said, the vehicle was shot at. The driver fled the area and stopped near the Market Basket on Elm Street to examine the damage to the SUV.
The second woman was asked who else was in the car, speaking of the Hispanic man in the front seat, and she refused to tell the detective, the report said.
Ring Cameras Assist With Case Evidence
While on Pine Street, one detective, during the interviews, noticed a Ring camera nearby, contacted the owner, and requested footage from the camera for the time period in question.
The homeowner was available but later began sending videos while they were speaking with the women.
The videos, according to the report, showed a man exiting the front passenger of the SUV.
The detective asked who the man was, and the owner of the vehicle denied there was a man inside. When asked again, she denied again, the report said. The detective told the woman she had video of the man getting out of the SUV and she “needed to be truthful.” But she again denied there was a man there.
Detectives then shifted gears and visited the Dollar Deluxe to eye the security video, but the store manager was unavailable.
Another camera, however, was located on Auburn Street, and that homeowner sent a video from the area. The detective said, around 10:10 p.m., a man in an orange mask, jean jacket, and white sneakers was walking north on Auburn Street as the Nissan drove west. The SUV slowed down, and the man entered the store. A few seconds later, the man exits the store, pulls something out of his jacket, points it at the SUV, and a single gunshot was heard.
(The) detective observed what appeared to be a muzzle flash and kick back of the firearm in the subject’s hands,” the detective wrote in an affidavit. “The subject then runs southerly on Union Street, crossing over Auburn and out of view.”
Another vehicle then pulls away from the store and leaves the area and then, another seven gunshots were heard.
Neither the subject nor the Nissan can be seen, the report said.
The detective began looking at more footage from Pine Street and asked for assistance identifying the man in the front passenger seat. Detectives identified the man, Freddie Reyes, 20, who was known to police.
SUV Owner Comes Clean
The owner of the Rogue spoke with detectives later and gave them more information.
She confirmed Reyes as the man inside the SUV and said he was the one who used duct tape and paint to conceal the bullet hole, even if she did not stop him or approve of the action.
Later that afternoon, other detectives obtained security video from the store and found five shell casings on Auburn Street. Three bullet impact points were found in a wooden fence.
More Pine Street video was eyed, and the detective accused the 20-year-old woman of claiming during a cellphone conversation that Levi Glum had “shot at her,” the report said. She said he was “mad because he owes me money,” the video purported to record.
In another video, Reyes could be heard talking to another person on his cell phone in an n-word-laced rant that lasted more than three minutes, stating after the SUV was shot at, he returned fire with six other shots.
“Everyone started dipping,” Reyes was accused of saying. “You didn’t hear no more shots. I was the only one shooting the whole rest of the shots. All the rest of the shots … that was me, (n-word).”
Reyes claimed during the phone conservation, “Bro, I know somebody got hit because I was right next to somebody’s car bro … bro, there’s cops all over the place right now,” an affidavit said.
Another video showed them covering up the bullet hole in the SUV around 2:45 a.m. on Oct. 8, 2022.
On Nov. 3, 2022, Reyes met with police but “did not admit to shooting” anyone, the report said. He did, however, identify the man who shot at him to be Levi and a different last name. The detective noted the different last name was connected to Glum’s family. Reyes said, the night before, he received a “story” on Snapchat from one of Glum’s family members warning to “stay away from the store” or “they were going to shoot them if they returned,” an affidavit stated.
Reyes was arrested on felony reckless conduct, falsifying evidence, and breach of bail charges.
A warrant against Glum, 21, on attempted first-degree assault and felon in possession of a dangerous weapon charges, both felonies, was issued on Nov. 4, 2022.
Glum was found in Florida by the U.S. Marshals Service. He was brought back to New Hampshire and was scheduled to be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court North on Tuesday.
Glum is a felon due to robbery and second-degree assault charges in January 2020, after being charged with two robbery and two second-degree assault charges in June 2019. He was found in violation of probation or parole in June 2021.
Glum is back in Hillsborough County Superior Court North on Feb. 23 for a dispositional conference hearing.
