Cannon is accused of being a member of the Felony Lane Gang, a group of individuals who operate across the country allegedly breaking into cars to steal purses. Gang members use the IDs from the purses they steal to cash checks and engage in other identity theft activities. They are based out of Florida but arrests have been made in New Hampshire and other states.
"These are well organized criminals involved in a nationwide theft operation, and making this arrest required the cooperation from multiple departments," Bryfonski said. "This investigation took place over several months, and I would like to thank several local businesses for providing security footage that helped us link the suspect to these crimes."
