Tips Lead Manchester Police To Armed Robbery Suspect In Lebanon
Investigators accuse Ron Goodwin of Woodsville of flashing a gun during a parking lot purse snatching at Catholic Medical Center Thursday.

MANCHESTER, NH — Thanks to tips from the public, police in the Queen City have arrested a man they believe was involved in an armed robbery Thursday at Catholic Medical Center. Around 6 p.m., officers were sent to CMC to investigate a purse snatching report. The victim told police she was leaving work and crossed the hospital's sky bridge to an employee parking lot when a vehicle pulled up behind her.
A man then jumped out of the vehicle, displayed a gun, and grabbed the woman's purse, according to Heather Hamel, the public information officer for the Manchester Police Department.
"(The suspect) got back into the vehicle and drove off," Hamel said.

About 90 minutes after the incident, Ron Goodwin, 43, of Woodsville, was named as a suspect in a police BOLO (be-on-the-lookout) alert. About two hours later, the BOLO was called off. Last Friday, police released a description of the suspect and later, issued a warrant and a second alert asking for assistance finding Goodwin.
Hamel said Goodwin was located in Lebanon Monday. He was arrested on a felony robbery charge and held on preventative detention, she added. Goodwin is expected to be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court North Tuesday.
