1,000 Books Before Kindergarten in NH
Read your children 1,000 stories before they begin to attend school.

CONCORD, NH - The Concord Public Library is one of more than 100 public libraries in New Hampshire that are participating in the “N.H. 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” program, which encourages parents and other caregivers to make sure children are read at least 1,000 stories before they start kindergarten.
As part of the program, more than a dozen parents, grandparents and children attended a recent “Lapsit” session at Concord Public, according to Shelly Angers, the public information officer of the New Hampshire Department of Cultural Resources.
