CONCORD, NH — A GoFundMe.com effort by a friend of two men involved in a crash on Route 106 in Concord Tuesday has raised more than $11,000 for the families for the victims in about 24 hours.

Nicholas Coolen, 27, of Hudson, a passenger, died in the crash. Connor Chadwick, 28, of Derry, the driver of the 2001 black Corvette, sustained critical injuries and is still hospitalized. Both were ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

Concord police have not finished their investigation, it is believed that vehicle, owned by Chadwick, was driving south on the highway, which is also known as Sheep Davis Road, at a high rate of speed before striking the guardrail and flipping.

Brendon Bourgeois, who set up the fundraising site, said the men were "best friends" and had done "everything together." He said the money will be split between the families to cover medical bills, services, and tow costs.

"Connor is in the ICU unconscious but stable and fighting for his life," Bourgeois said. "These two are the most wonderful and giving people that most of us have had the pleasure to meet … they are each other's shadow and right now them and their family's need prayers and support."
