2nd Amendment Advocates Protest Scott Brown Gun Talk
GOP candidate met privately with Gun Owners of New Hampshire in Concord.
A collection of about 40 2nd Amendment advocates, Republican, and Libertarian activists protested outside of the Gun Owners of New Hampshire meeting at the Holiday Inn in Concord on May 20, where former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown, R-NH, met with the group’s board of directors.
Brown reportedly agreed to meet with the board to address the group’s “questions and concerns” regarding his previous votes and positions about gun issues.
The meeting, however, was only open to GONH members and was closed off from the public and press.

A number of individuals wishing to meet with Brown were not allowed into the meeting and even some GONH members were asked to leave the property by Holiday Inn security.
Supporters of the Second Amendment Sisters group as well as the new PackingNH Political Action Committee were at the protest. It’s one of many such actions around the state since 2013, when Brown started making public appearances around the state, potentially considering a run.

Elected officials, including state Rep. JR Hoell, R-Dunbarton, state Rep. George Lambert, R-Litchfield, and state Rep. Dan Itse, attended the protest saying that they were not supporting Brown because they didn’t think he represented New Hampshire values and questioned in stand on the 2nd Amendment.
A press contact for Brown did not return an email request for comment.
