3- To 12-Inches Of Snow Possibly Heading To New Hampshire
Weather forecasters say a "potential coastal system" could bring varying amounts of snow to the Granite State on Friday.
GRAY, ME — Weather forecasters are warning of a possible storm that could bring a significant amount of snow to New Hampshire later this week.
The National Weather Service has not issued a storm alert but during its morning briefing on Tuesday, forecasters mentioned that “a potential coastal system” could bring snow to the region on Friday.
“(Thursday) night and Friday will see coastal low develop off the Carolinas coast and track NE toward Nova Scotia,” the briefing said, adding that a “deepening and negative tilting” could allow the storm to hit the Northeast or move out to sea.

Previous storm models show it will be a quick storm regardless of how much snow falls in New England. Drier and cooler conditions are expected on Saturday.
AccuWeather.com, however, was more direct: “Get ready! We have another storm on the way Thursday night into Friday,” according to AccuWeather Chief On-Air Meteorologist Bernie Rayno.

AccuWeather forecasters said the storm could bring between 3 to 6 inches for most of New Hampshire with anywhere from 6 to 12 inches for communities on the Seacoast and the eastern part of the state. The chance of snow being between 3 and 8 inches in Patch's 13 communities is anywhere from 48 to 60 percent, according to forecasters. The storm is expected to hit New Hampshire around 2 a.m. on Friday and last through 7 p.m.
AccuWeather.com also noted there was a chance that the storm could move farther south which means the worst of the storm would be out to sea. Forecasters also said the storm could become strong enough to deliver up to 2 feet of snow in eastern Maine.
