Update: Up To 8 Inches Of Snow Expected In New Hampshire, Forecasters Say: Weekend Weather

The NWS says Concord and the capital region will see the most snow Friday night, with lower accumulations in Nashua and the Seacoast.

CONCORD, NH — More snow is coming to the Granite State, according to weather forecasters.

Up to 8 inches of snow is possible between Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning, the National Weather Service’s forecasters said. A "winter weather advisory" will be in effect from noon on Friday until 7 a.m. on Saturday.

"A snowstorm will bring plowable snow to the region," an alert on Thursday afternoon stated. "Rapidly deteriorating travel conditions are expected Friday afternoon and evening, with significant evening commute impacts across New Hampshire. Snowfall rates of over 1 inch per hour are possible Friday evening."

The snow is expected to start after 2 p.m. in Concord and the capital region, with accumulations reaching up to 2 inches. On Friday evening, temperatures will drop into the 20s, and another 3 to 5 inches are expected. On Saturday morning, there is a 40 percent chance of additional snow.

In Nashua and southwestern and southern New Hampshire, snow is likely, mixed with rain, before 3 p.m. About an inch is expected. During the evening, another 3 to 5 inches is possible. On Saturday, too, there is a 40 percent chance of more snow.

On the Seacoast, a mix of snow and rain is expected between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday, with snow starting around 4 p.m. continuing into the evening. Up to 4 to 6 inches of snow is expected by Saturday morning. Another half an inch could fall in the morning.

Forecasters said Saturday afternoon and evening will be clear with temps in the 30s. Overnight lows will be in the teens.

On Sunday and Monday, expect similar weather.

Accuweather.com is calling for up to 6 inches of snow across the entire state, according to a post on Thursday morning.
