Watch: 4 incidents in the city — at I-393, Loudon Road, Route 106, and Pleasant Street, keep police and fire and rescue teams busy.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police and fire and rescue were kept busy with four separate incidents on Thursday in about two hours involving three crashes and a bank theft suspect.
Concord police and firefighters were sent to Pleasant and Pine streets just before 3:15 p.m. for a report of a three-vehicle accident, including two pickup trucks and an SUV.
Tow trucks were requested for two of the vehicles.

About 15 minutes later, firefighters and EMTs, as well as police, were sent to Sheep Davis Road/Route 106, not far from Sam’s Club, for a report of a vehicle in the woods.
When firefighters arrived, they found a Mercedes SUV crashed into the woods with the driver still trapped inside. The southbound lanes of Sheep Davis Road were closed while EMTs attempted to take the driver out of the SUV. Firefighters used wheel locks to stabilize the vehicle.

Witnesses told the police the driver was unconscious but was revived later. Police learned the driver had issues on another part of the road and crashed in another place before stopping in the woods, according to scanner chatter.
The driver was later transported to Concord Hospital.
News 603 posted a video from the scene on Facebook.
Then, around 4:30 p.m., fire and rescue teams, as well as police, were sent to the Exit 3 Interstate 393 offramp area for a crash.
Capital region fire dispatch told firefighters heading to the scene their best access was via Route 106. The crash, it turned out, was in the middle of the westbound lane on the bridge near the offramp.
A few minutes later, the fire commander said an adult and child were being prepped to be taken to Concord Hospital via ambulance.
Tow trucks were then requested.
Just before 4:45 p.m., dispatch took a call from an employee at Sugar River Bank on Loudon Road who claimed a Hispanic man in a black jacket was in the bank attempting to steal money from accounts.
The employee told dispatch the man had hit all their branches and stolen $13,000. The man fled the bank, heading east. Officers converged on the area while one of the dispatchers continued to speak with the bank employee who had chased after the suspect, according to the first dispatcher.
One officer asked if the man may have gotten into a vehicle, and said they were looking for a better description.
Several minutes later, officers detained a suspect not far from the Branch Turnpike. More officers arrived at the scene and the bank to get more information about the incident.
According to scanner chatter, the suspect left an ID at the bank before fleeing.
After speaking with the suspect, the officer found out he was from Manchester. After being Mirandized, the officer said the suspect stopped talking.
A watch commander told officers investigating the incident the suspect had priors — too many to give out over the air. Officers at the scene, too, matched a booking photo from Manchester police to the suspect, and he was taken to police headquarters for booking.
