Accused Gunman in Exeter Murder-Suicide Grew Up in Concord, Bow

Larry Sanderson is accused of murdering his girlfriend, Jennifer Noll, earlier this week; investigators still don't have a motive.

A former Concord resident who also lived in Bow for a time has been accused, according to an autopsy, of killing his girlfriend and then turning the gun on himself in the town of Exeter earlier this week.

Details as to why Richard “Larry” Sanderson, 49, murdered Jennifer Noll, 43, a respected and beloved Windham veterinary, on July 7, at their home on Oak Street, are limited at this time but some information is beginning to trickle out about the couple.

The New Hampshire Union Leader reported on July 9, that a former landlord who rented apartments to the couple in Hampton accused Sanderson of being controlling. The landlord stated that he wasn’t shocked when he heard the news of the murder-suicide.

Sanderson spent much of his childhood growing up in Concord’s West End neighborhood with his parents and family on School Street. He peddled newspapers for the Concord Monitor in the late 1970s and hung out with the clique of neighborhood kids that played sports and rode bikes in White Park. Sanderson also lived for a time in Bow, according to former neighbors and classmates. He graduated Concord High School in 1984 and attended Plymouth State College.

From there, he spent most of his professional career in sales, working for Sprint, Verizon, and the last three-plus years for Comcast Business Services in Portsmouth, according to his LinkedIn profile. His account had numerous recommendations about his skills and determination in servicing his sales clients.

Currently, neither the New Hampshire State Police nor the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office has a motive in the case.
