After The Snow Sunday And Monday, More Is Coming To New Hampshire, Forecasters Say
After the storm that is expected to bring 8 to 12 inches of snow to the state, more snowstorm fronts are expected to arrive this week.
CONCORD, NH — After the snow moves out of the region on Monday night, prepare for more, according to weather forecasters.
The National Weather Service issued another winter storm warning on Sunday morning, calling for anywhere from 6 to 15 inches of snow in most of southern New Hampshire. The snow is expected to be heavy. Wind gusts could reach 40 mph during the event, which is expected to last through Monday night.
“A snowstorm will bring plowable snow to the region with a period of moderate travel impacts expected,” the alert stated. “Periods of moderate snow and low visibility will be the biggest hazards. The potential exists for snowbands that will bring periods of locally heavy snowfall, which will lead to rapid snow accumulations and extremely dangerous travel conditions.”

Periods of moderate and heavy snow, combined with low visibility, will create dangerous driving conditions, officials said.
“The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes,” the alert stated. “Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and break some tree limbs (but) the power outage threat is limited.”

On Tuesday morning, expect sunny skies with highs in the upper 20s. Overnight lows will be in the single digits.
Snow, however, is expected to return on Wednesday, mainly in the morning and early afternoon, with temps in the lower 30s. The snow is likely to continue overnight, with temps in the teens, and into Thursday morning. Snow will continue into Thursday afternoon and evening with temperatures in the mid-20s.
Rain and snow are expected on Friday, too.
