On July 20, police were called to West Street for a report of a domestic violence order violation. According to a report, Florence allegedly “came to the house, took his things, and ripped the victim’s bra, and threw her makeup” after an argument and then left.
The victim spoke to the officers about what happened, the previous incident, as well as the items that were strewn on the floor. She alleged that he was at her apartment to pick up some items and they began arguing. She took a shower and after she was through, they continued to argue and Florence allegedly grabbed her and tore her bra strap.

The victim told him to leave and pushed him out of her bedroom, according to the affidavit. Florence allegedly grabbed her makeup bag off a bed, began to walk down the stairs, and reportedly threw her makeup bag down the stairs.
The victim followed him down the stairs and attempted to lock a door behind him and as she did, he allegedly spat in her face and then left the scene.
The officers left the scene but later, contacted the victim again in order to get information about reaching Florence to get his side of the story. While re-visiting her, the victim shared a photo that she took of Florence reportedly sitting in a chair in her living room earlier as well as messages he allegedly sent to her on Facebook just minutes before the officers came back to the scene. The officer took the timestamp information from the photo and eyed four messages where Florence allegedly called her “unbelievable” and “what you did to me is crazy,” according to the affidavit.
After eyeing the protection order paperwork, a warrant was filed for Florence’s arrest and he was charged two days later and held.
