Schofield was featured as the New Hampshire Fugitive of the Week in February and was considered to be armed, dangerous, and violent, according to Deputy Marshal Jeffrey White. The fugitive information resulted in several tips early in the investigation “but none of the tips led to the location and arrest of Schofield,” he noted.
“Last night, officers from the Nashua Police Department had contact with Schofield during the early evening hours at a restaurant on E. Hollis Street,” according to White. “It was during this contact that the officers learned that Schofield was wanted on the outstanding warrant for failure to appear on multiple first degree assault charges. Schofield was arrested without incident and brought to the Nashua Police Department for processing and holding pending his initial court appearance on these very serious offenses.”
Since May 3, more than 6,340 fugitives have been apprehended by the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force since 2002.
