Alleged Wallet Snatcher Sought

Concord Police investigators looking for information about incident at Market Basket on Storrs Street on Nov. 20.

Concord Police are looking for information about a man who allegedly lifted a wallet out of a woman’s purse on Nov. 20, at the Market Basket on Storrs Street.

According to Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the investigations unit of the department, at around 5 p.m., a woman shopping for groceries said while she was not looking, someone reached into her purse and took her wallet. The wallet was laying on top of her open purse.

“Both police and store management reviewed the security footage and noticed a man reach over and go through the victim’s purse while she was turned away from her cart,” O’Malley alleged in an Concord Regional Crimeline alert. “The unidentified male then continues to shop and leaves the store after paying for the items in his cart.”
