Boscawen Girl Throws Out Ceremonial First Pitch at NH Fisher Cats Game

Olivia Lacasse was recently honored as a Bellwether Community Champion Award for her efforts in supporting cancer research. On June 15, Lacasse threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a New Hampshire Fisher Cats game and was celebrated during an on-field pregame presentation.

Olivia, age 7, is using her favorite hobby of making bracelets to make a difference in cancer research. Her organization, Livie’s Bracelets, has already raised over $800 for local families affected by cancer and the Payson Center for Cancer Care at Concord Hospital. Olivia sells every bracelet she makes for $1 and all the proceeds are donated. Her neighbor Donna Bourdrias, a breast cancer survivor inspired her movement.

Lacasse resides in Boscawen.
