I am a proud Republican, and I don't usually support Democrats running for office. But this year I am making an exception to my longstanding rule. My only problem is I can't vote for her because I don't live in her district!
Katherine Rogers is running for state representative for Merrimack County District 28, which includes Concords Wards 8,9 and 10. Rogers is the kind of public servant we need in the New Hampshire Legislature.
I got to know her when she served on the Concord City Council. Instead of just sitting back and listening to what the bosses told her, she would talk to people like me on the floor of the fire station about what we saw happening in the city. She cared about the working men and women, and wanted to hear our ideas about how things could be improved. Rogers took the time to do ride-a-longs and learn about the services the city offered and the difficulties that employees encountered. She also knew our names...we were not just props for campaign pictures!

Rogers has also served as a county commissioner, county attorney, and countless community task forces and service boards...she cares about this community and has proven she can get things done.
I may not live in Concord, but I do work here and I am urging all my friends, democrats, republicans, and independents to vote for Katherine Rogers for State Rep on Nov. 6...we need her.
