There have been a number of homeless camp fires in the city during the past few years, including in the same area of Friday’s fire. In the past, staff at the estate, which is an art gallery, meeting space, and art school, have filed repeated complaints with the city and police about trespassers, fires, and mayhem due to the homeless camps and campers aligning the historic estate’s property line.
