Calumet Transitional Housing Unit Inmate Placed On Escape Status, Accused Of Failing To Return

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is asking for the public’s assistance finding a transitional housing unit inmate placed on escape status on Monday night in Manchester.

Nathan Allen Cox, 27, was accused of failing to return to the minimum-security Calumet Transitional Housing Unit after work. He was placed on escape status just after 8 p.m.

Cox is white, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and weighs around 155 pounds. He has brown eyes, dirty blonde hair, and a manicured beard.

Cox was last seen wearing an orange T-shirt, ripped jeans, and tan work boots. He has tattoos on both arms.

Escapee’s Criminal History

The state said Cox was incarcerated on drug possession charges and was due to be released from minimum-security custody in late November.

According to court records, the convictions were in Manchester in September 2025 and in Hooksett in November 2025. Court documents show he was placed in work release in mid-February.

In November 2017, Cox was accused of robbery in Conway. Across two and a half years of court hearings, he was moved into the drug court system, and the charge was nolle prossed.

Cox was accused of acts prohibited in Tamworth in March 2018. A few months later, he pleaded guilty to the charge and received a 12-month jail sentence, with 108 days of time served credit and a suspended fine. Cox pleaded guilty to a violation of probation or parole charge in August 2019 after a string of theft accusations in Conway and Tamworth earlier that year. The theft charges later led to suspended sentences in 2020.

Cox was also accused of acts prohibited in Tamworth in April 2020.

In January 2021, Cox’s theft charges were amended and extended to four to eight years in prison with 285 days of time served credit.
