ARRESTS: Bow Heroin Dealer Bagged at the Mall

Plus, Derry man charged with a DWI, homeless man arrested underneath I-393.

Thomas Grace, 40, of English Range Road in Derry, was arrested at 8 p.m. on July 13, and charged with driving while intoxicated, second offense, driving after revocation or suspension, and a bench warrant. Officers were sent to Village Street in Penacook for a report of a domestic. Upon arrival, they came across Grace and two other men in a Chevrolet Equinox backing out of a parking space and striking a parked Volvo. There wasn’t any damage, according to the reporting officer. Grace was asked for his license and reportedly handed the officer a NH non-driver ID. Another officer spoke with a woman who stated that the incident was strictly verbal. The reporting officer spoke to Grace and alleged that he smelled like alcohol. He agreed to perform field sobriety tests and was arrested. The bench warrant was out of Nashua District Court from September 2012, on driving after revocation and operating after suspension charges. Grace’s license was suspended in April 2006 for default child support.

Robert Wayne Glodgett, 51, and Herbert N. Thibeault, 50, both homeless men now located in Concord, were arrested at 9:23 a.m. on July 14, on criminal trespass charges. Officers were sent to the Kimball Jenkins Estate on North Main Street for a report of several homeless people trespassing. The first officer walked down to the barbed wire fence in back of the estate, jumped over it, and found two men sleeping behind a cement wall underneath I-393. Both had been warned previously not to be trespassing in the area and they were arrested. They had court dates on Aug. 18. Two days later, at 5:40 a.m., Godgett was arrested again, on criminal trespass and default or breach of bail conditions, behind the Storrs Street Market Basket where he also had a no trespass order to be on the railroad property. He was arrested and held without bail.

Tyler R. Counter, 29, of Bow Bog Road in Bow, was arrested at 5:35 p.m. on July 15, and charged with sale of controlled drugs and possession of controlled drugs, both felonies, and possession of drugs. The sale charge was from an incident at the Ninety-Nine Restaurant on D’Amante Drive on April 8. Officers were sent to the Steeplegate Mall to assist a detective who had Counter on an active warrant. The detective told the officer he spotted Counter while driving on Sheep Davis Road in a Volkswagen. He followed him to the mall, stopping near Bon Ton. The officer met up with him there and Counter was stopped and arrested. Police allege that he had “two hard granule substances in his right front pocket,” later identified as heroin, as well as two plastic baggies containing heroin. All told, he allegedly had 30.6 grams of heroin. “I have probably cause to believe that Counter committed the crime of possession of a control drug with intent to distribute for having over 30 grams of heroin in two baggies, and his admission that he was a drug dealer,” the officer reported. Counter also had $260 in cash in his wallet, according to police. He refused bail and was transported to the Merrimack County House of Corrections.

Bobby Chicago Kelly, 29, of Washington Street in Penacook, was arrested at 10:35 p.m. on July 16, on a simple assault charge. Police were sent to an apartment at Washington Street for a domestic between a couple. Upon arrival, an officer spoke with the woman who was “crying and visibly upset.” She stated that the couple had a fight in the morning and she took her ring off and said she was done with the man, Grace. They didn’t speak all day and around 8 p.m., she took a shower and got ready for bed. She went into their bedroom to take the comforter off the bed to sleep on the couch and the two started fighting again. She left the room and Kelly allegedly “grabbed her by the hair, pulled her back, and then ripped the comforter out of her hands,” according to the report. She ran toward the bathroom but he caught up with her and allegedly grabbed her and pushed her onto the couch. Kelly allegedly pinned her down, pointing toward her stomach, and screamed he wished she didn’t have his baby. She started scratching him to get him off. She eventually broke free, ran out of the apartment, and went to a neighbor’s apartment, while Kelly fled the scene. Another officer stopped Kelley and he was arrested. He was arraigned on Aug. 25.
