CRIME LOG: Teen Charged with Second-Degree Assault
The following information was supplied by the Concord Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

- Christian Zurline, 20, of Concord, was arrested at 11:20 p.m. on March 2, and charged with violation of protective order and default or breach of bail conditions. An officer was sent to Merrimack County House of Correction to serve Zurline with more charges concerning allegations he violated an active protective order that is in place until November 2014. Zurline reportedly said, “I can’t make calls from here. I have no minutes on my phone card.” He refused to speak about the incident but later allegedly began to cry and said he was a threat to no one so long as he was incarcerated. Zurline added that he still cared for his child. He was arraigned on March 3.
- Ethan O. Martin, 34, of Henniker, was arrested at 10:30 a.m. on March 5, and charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and endangering the welfare of a child/incompetent at the Walmart on Loudon Road on Sept. 3, 2012. Police allege that he stole a trailer hitch owned by a Loudon man. An officer was sent to Hillsboro to pick up Martin who was arrested on the warrant. He was released on $4,000 personal recognizance bail and had a court date in April.
- Brian Webb, 24, of Concord, was arrested at 1:15 a.m. on March 24, on a simple assault (personal weapons) charge. Officers were called to Church Street for a possible domestic reported by a third party. When the officers arrived, they reportedly found a dog barking and a child waking up due to the noise. The parties involved were separated. The woman reportedly stated that nothing really happened. She reportedly stated she was eight months pregnant and while her husband was out, the father of her yet-to-be-born child was at the apartment, helping her get things ready for the baby. The husband reportedly arrived home and was listening to the two outside the apartment. He later entered the apartment and allegedly got upset and tapped her on the cheek, according to the report. The husband, later identified as Webb, allegedly stated he was upset and thought that the ex was trying to get back together with his wife. He was arrested and the woman allegedly became very upset, according to police, stating that she just wanted her husband back. Webb was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail. He had a court date in April.
- Joshua J. Lang, 25, of Concord, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. on two counts of criminal liability for conduct of another and sale of controlled drugs, all felonies. The conduct charges stemmed from allegedly incident on Aug. 17, 2012, and Oct. 5, 2012, in the Branch Turnpike area, near a cafeteria or restaurant, according to a report. The sale charge was from Sept. 12, 2012, on Electric Avenue and allegedly involved various amount of marijuana. The police had audio recordings as evidence, according to the report. Lang was held on $32,000 cash bail and was arraigned on March 28.
- Kristen Lee Porter, 20, of Concord, received a summons at 3:46 p.m. on April 25, for littering. At the red light intersection of Loudon Road and the I-93 southbound off ramp, an officer allegedly observed Porter throw a white package over the guardrail to her left while walking on the northern side of the sidewalk near the Loudon Road and Stickney Avenue intersection. The officer asked what she threw and Porter, while nervously shaking, allegedly stated that it was a cigarette package. “That was consistent with the size and color of the object I had seen her throw,” the officer wrote. Porter was cited and is due in court on June 3.
- Denise A. Wescott, 33, of Concord, was arrested at 7:18 p.m. on May 4, on a criminal trespassing charge from May 3, at the Walmart on Loudon Road. She turned herself into police and was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail. She is due in Concord District Court on June 10.
- Patrick Ian Cheney, 22, of Concord, was arrested at 12:21 a.m. on May 5, on a bench warrant. Officers were called to North State Street for a noise complaint and made contact with Cheney. Dispatch later informed the officers that Cheney had a warrant from Concord District Court from April 4, for nonpayment of fine on a driving after suspension charge with $1,052.50 cash to settle. Cheney was arrested and later released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and had a court date on May 6.
- Ashley R. Omara, 17, of Concord, was arrested at 1:46 p.m. on May 6, and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and simple assault. The charges stem from an alleged incident on April 19, at Rumford Elementary School on Thorndike Street. Omara turned herself into police and was released on $6,000 personal recognizance bail. She is due in court on June 27.
