​Aug. 9, Is NH Day At 84th Annual Craftsmen’s Fair​

Residents, with ID, can enjoy two for one admission to the League of NH Craftsmen​ Fair at the Mount Sunapee Resort​ in Newbury Wednesday.

NEWBURY, NH — The League of NH Craftsmen has designated Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, as New Hampshire Day at the 84th Annual Craftsmen’s Fair at the Mount Sunapee Resort in Newbury, according to a press release. New Hampshire residents can enjoy two-for-one admission to the Fair. Both attendees must be present at time of purchase and present valid NH ID at the gate.

During New Hampshire day, fair visitors can enjoy music by Kathy Lowe and Kent Allyn. Lowe, a native New Hampshire singer/songwriter, comes from a vaudeville and circus family. She plays guitar, dulcimer, and percussion and performs children’s songs about the earth and nature. Allyn, her buddy of 45 years and musician extraordinaire, will accompany Kathy on piano, bass, guitar and vocals.

  • Craftsperson Adele Sanborn demonstrates extraordinary bookmaking using a variety of techniques, including unique folding methods to create books.
  • Diane Howes, an accomplished weaver, will demonstrate traditional loom weaving.
  • Dorr Mill Store’s Jan Seavey will be demonstrating traditional rug hooking.
  • Mt Kearsarge Indian Museum will also demonstrate the art of beading, the process of leather work and native basket making techniques.
