Batteries Plus Bulbs Opens First Store in Concord

According to a nationwide survey conducted by Batteries Plus Bulbs, the nation's only battery, light bulb and phone repair franchise, 31 percent of Americans have broken their phone in the past year, but 65 percent don't have insurance to cover the repairs.

With the opening of the specialty retailer's first store in Concord, locals will now have access to product experts and a wide array of specialized options for fixing phones, as well as purchasing automotive batteries, powering essential electronics, and lighting homes and businesses. The new location, like all Batteries Plus Bulbs stores, will offer an unrivaled product selection, in-stock availability, and customer service.

The store, located at 239 Loudon Road, is owned and operated by longtime friends turned business partners, Jerise Mares and Craig Booth. The former next door neighbors were inspired to become franchisees after having to get a broken iPad screen fixed at their local Batteries Plus Bulbs store. They received exceptional customer service and saw the potential in serving their community in the same way. In their new roles, the duo will be largely focused on offering phone repair services to their neighbors and customers, as this is currently in high demand in the area.

“Our goal is to provide outstanding care for anyone who walks through our doors just like we received years ago, and ultimately become a trusted business member within the Concord community,” said Mares. “Personally, Craig and I both have strong passions for technology and cars, and we’re looking forward to providing the latest products and services within both of these categories to customers, which will be an elevated experience given our personal backgrounds.”
