Bauman: Verdict is a Relief, 'One Step Closer to Closure'

Former Granite Stater offers comment after Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Boston Marathon Bomber, is found guilty on all counts.

A local man injured during the Boston Marathon bombing terrorist attack said the guilty verdict against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev brings many victims one step closer to closure in the case.

Jeff Bauman, who was a spectator at the event after the bombs went off on Boylston Street on April 15, 2013, made the statement on his Facebook foundation’s site about an hour after the verdict.

Bauman wrote: “Today’s verdict will never replace the lives that were lost and so dramatically changed, but it is a relief, and one step closer to closure.”
