CONCORD, NH — A Tennessee senator will be headlining the annual Concord Republican City Committee and Merrimack GOP committee fundraising dinner next month.

U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) will be in Concord on March 18 to keynote the annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord. The senator, who has been in office since 2018, and was an eight-term representative to Congress before that, will be discussing promoting political opportunities for women and making the United States a more prosperous place to live.

Blackburn is also the author of the book, “The Mind of a Conservative Woman: Seeking the Best for Family and Country,” which was published in 2020, and has been rumored to be a possible running mate for former President Donald Trump, if he chooses to run again in 2024.

“We are very excited to welcome Sen. Blackburn to New Hampshire,” Andrew Georgevits, the chairman of the Concord Republican City Committee, said. “Her story as a self-made business owner and public servant is truly the American Dream. She fights every day for more freedom and more opportunity for all Americans and we can’t wait to hear her inspiring message on March 18.”

Scott Maltzie, the chairman of the Merrimack County Republican Committee, called Blackburn “a fighter” Republicans could be proud of.

“Republicans here in the Live Free or Die State will greatly appreciate Sen. Blackburn’s proven anti-tax record,” he said. “As a state senator in Tennessee, she helped pass an amendment to the state constitution that now prohibits a state income tax.”

The Lincoln-Reagan Dinner has featured a number of guest speakers over the years including former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in May 2019, U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa in February 2014, at the height of the Benghazi scandal, Steve Forbes, and Gov. Matt Bevin.

Tickets are $100 per person. Sponsorship opportunities are available, too, Georgevits said.
