‘Borrowed’ Tiles Leads To Stalking Charge Against Allenstown Woman: Concord Cops
Holly Sears was arrested on receiving stolen property and stalking charges after being accused of violating a restraining order at Lowe's.

CONCORD, NH — A woman from Allenstown is facing felony stolen property and stalking charges after being accused of violating a restraining order and taking tiles from Lowe’s on Fort Eddy Road last year.
Around 8:45 p.m. on Nov. 15, 2022, an officer was sent to Lowe’s on Fort Eddy Road for a report of a stalking order violation. An employee at the store, who had an active order against Holly Ann Sears, 41, of Edgewood Drive in Allenstown, claimed she was in the store earlier that afternoon, an affidavit said.
After taking the report, an officer called Sears to speak with her and asked if she knew why they were calling. She said she borrowed some tiles from the store, the report said. When asked what that meant, Sears was accused of saying, “you know … borrowed.”

Sears then agreed to appear at police headquarters.
During that meeting, she handed over nine tiles to the officer, the affidavit said. Sears also said she did not know the employee with the order was working that day, according to the report. While there, she saw an open box of tiles and thought they looked “appropriate for her kitchen” and wanted to see if that type and color would work, the report said. Sears then was accused of admitting to the officer that she had a problem.

Previously, Sears was convicted of theft in March 2019 and January 2022. She was arrested at 11:20 a.m. on Feb. 11 on stalking and receiving stolen property charges — with the property charge as a felony due to the two prior convictions. On Feb. 13, Sears was arraigned in Merrimack County Superior Court. She is back in court for a dispositional conference hearing on June 14.
Sears, according to superior court records, is a felon due to pleading guilty in March 2015 to two charges of attempt to obtain a controlled drug by fraud, deceit, misrepresentation, or subterfuge after an incident in Manchester in February and May 2014.
An August 2014 felony controlled drug: acts prohibited charge out of Manchester was dismissed without prejudice in April 2015.
In June 2018, she was involved in a civil action against the town of Allenstown. The issue was settled in May 2019.
Sears was also a pro se defendant in a contract fraud-misrepresentation lawsuit brought by the Crotched Mountain Foundation in Hillsborough County Superior Court North in July 2007. The suit was dropped about nine months later.
A rules of the road-disobeying an officer charge in Manchester from May 2008 was also remanded.
