Boscawen Man Arrested Three Times in One Week

Concord Police allege that James Weatherbee can't stop driving illegally.

A local man had a pretty bad week last month getting arrested three times in three days, according to Concord Police arrest reports.

The problems for James L. Weatherbee, 20, of Baker Street in Boscawen, started on Jan. 19, 2015, when he was requested to appear at Concord Police headquarters to speak to an officer about an accident outside of the Electra Hair Salon on South Main Street earlier in the week involving a Jeep Grand Cherokee he was reportedly driving while not being properly licensed.

At around 10 a.m., Weatherbee met with the officer and was told there was an active warrant from October 2014, for nonpayment of fines.

“He said he was aware of that,” according to the officer, and was arrested.

Weatherbee was processed and released on personal recognizance bail with an arraignment date of Jan. 30.

The next day, Weatherbee came back into police headquarters after an arrest warrant was issued related to the accident from Jan. 15. He was arrested for conduct after an accident and driving after revocation and suspension, since his driving privileges were suspended on Nov. 11, 2014, for default court payment.

Weatherbee was released on personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date of March 2, and ordered to refrain from operating a motor vehicle.

The next morning, around 2 a.m., an officer was on South Main Street near McDonald’s Restaurant and observed a Hyundai Accent make a right hand turn from South Main to Water Street crossing both southbound lanes of travel and nearly striking the island in the middle of the road. The officer was able to catch up to the vehicle and pulled it over at the Hess gas station on Hall Street.

The driver, Weatherbee, was arrested and charged with driving after revocation or suspension, default or breach of bail conditions, and solid line violation.
