WEBSTER, NH — A Boscawen man is recovering from serious injuries after a snowmobile crash on Lake Winnepocket in Webster on Monday.

Webster police as well as firefighters and EMTs from Webster and Salisbury were sent to the crash around 8 p.m. after 911 had received a call about an accident with injury. Other firefighters were also requested to assist, according to scanner chatter. It took first responders a bit of time to find the crash area after the initial call came in because it was unknown where the snowmobile actually was. A UTV unit was also called in to assist.

"The crash scene was far from any road, and transportation to the awaiting Hopkinton ambulance crew would not have been possible without off-highway vehicles," Sgt. Kevin Bronson of the New Hampshire Fish & Game Department stated. "Conservation officers from the NH Fish and Game Department responded to investigate the accident with the aid of the Webster Police Department."
