CONCORD, NH — The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force captured a Boston murder suspect Wednesday who was hiding out in Manchester. Brian Joyce, 25, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, was arrested on a fugitive warrant issued by Dorchester District Court after a Randolph man, Marcus Dunn-Gordon, 27, was shot and killed on Morrissey Boulevard on Monday. According to Jeffrey White, a deputy marshal in New Hampshire, task force members in both states along with the Boston Police Department's Fugitive Unit developed information that led investigators to believe that Joyce was in the Queen City.

"Late yesterday afternoon, a cooperative effort by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force from both N.H. and Mass., along with the Manchester Police Department, were able to locate and arrest Joyce without incident at a residence in the 200 block of Wilson Street in Manchester," White said. "Joyce was transported to the Manchester Police Department where he was charged as a fugitive from justice based on the arrest warrant issued out of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts."

Staffers from the Hillsborough, Rockingham and Strafford county sheriff’s offices, the Manchester, Nashua, and Boston police departments, along with deputy U.S. Marshals, all worked on the case, White said.

According to Boston police, officers were sent to Morrissey Boulevard at around 11:45 p.m. on Sept. 16, for a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they found Dunn-Gordon "suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, lying on the ground inside of the lobby" of a building. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

"I am extremely proud of the team that was able to quickly and safely take Mr. Joyce into custody," said U.S. Marshal Nick Willard. "Based on the serious allegations in this case, the public can definitely feel safer knowing that Joyce is in jail."
