CONCORD, NH — Four women, three Democrats and a Republican, are seeking the open District 15 state Senate being vacated by Becky Whitley, a Hopkinton, who served two terms.
District 15, one of 24 state Senate seats in New Hampshire, represents the city of Concord and the towns of Bow and Hopkinton.
The three Democrats — state Rep. Angela Brennan of Bow, state Rep. Rebecca Williams of Concord, and Tara Reardon, a former state representative, Concord board of education member, and currently a county commissioner, will all appear on the Democrat primary ballot on Sept. 10. The winner will face off against Pamela Ean, a Republican, a former police officer and educator, who also lives in Concord.

Beyond the major primary races, like governor, Congress, and executive council, this is one of a handful of competitive primaries for lower races this year in Concord.
All four candidates sat down with Patch in the Concord TV studios on Aug. 14 to answer questions and tell voters why they want to be state senators. The topics included housing, taxes, marijuana legalization, education freedom accounts, and other issues.
