This has been a very stressful year for me and I am happy that it is ending but I have some very special wishes for some very special people at Christmas.
The year started out very bad because I chose to help a young man with special needs find out some information. Well, I was taken to task for being a concerned friend. I have always tried to help people especially those who weren't being heard and couldn't seem to get the assistance they needed. Anyhow, I can thank enough for the over 3,500 hits on stories that were printed to support me. I was so overwhelmed, I couldn't believe it. Then I had serious surgery at Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital in Lebanon. This was called the gastric bypass and if I hadn't gone through with the p rocedure I might not have lived a couple more years. Dr. Thaddeus Trus was the best surgeon I could ever had. His beside manner was something I have never seen.
Then my dad was diagnosed with cancer, which took me by total shock and surprise. He has always been the healthful member of our family. He never went to doctors and always seemed to be healthy one. He had major surgery in mid July and recuperated for months it seems and now is doing weekly treatments to try and combat this terrible disease.

Elections were next and when I was told about my father's future, which was awful, I decided that I could only do limited campaigning. My family had to come first. I want to thank everyone who supported my reeelction effort to the House of Representatives. The Christmas Parade and the Christmas Tree Lighting were the next events that I needed to work on and thanks to special people, they were both extremely successful. My television show, Around Town, continued and I appreciated Michael Cabana until he had to retire. Michael Bellomo is my new director and he is wonderful. So there is a lot more but the following friends I would like to say Merry Christmas: Paul Brogan, Ryan Linehan, Don Murray, James Cusano, Tom Cusano, Tyler Martel, Rick Watrous, Fred Keach, Steve Shurtleff, Candace Bouchard, Michael Bartlett, Katherine Rogers, Scott Hilliard, Kevin Tucker, Alex Skinner, Adam Chase, Scott Burns, Staff at Windmill Family Restaurant, Staff at Veano's Restaurant, Staff at Cheers, Tom Aspell, Chip Chesley, Dana Smith, David Gill, Geri Harrington, Fr. Ray Ball, Fr. Chris Martel, Dr. Mike Van Aske, Gerry Leclerc, James Tetreault, Jonathan Gregory, Michael Fay, Eric Nelson, Rodney Musto, Helen Deloge, Dennis Gaudet, Jerry Venne, Henry Parkhurst, Bob Varnum, John Lynch, my family, and my late mother, Maxrene Patten who I believe is in heaven watching over me. Tony Schinella for being the best writer and reporting the truth, not what people will buy in a newspaper.
There are many others whom I am sure I have forgot. It is not intentional, but I care about all of you. The year 2012 is ending soon but I will have another story for that. Merry Christmas to all and I hope your Christmas wishes will be filled. You are all so loved by me. Remember I am there for you.
