Brother of the Brush Kicks Off May 13
"New Growth" competitors invited to New England School of Barbering for the Great Shave Off at 8:30 a.m.

Gentlemen ... put down your razors! Concord 250 is bringing back the 1965 Brothers of the Brush beard competition (see image above for some of 1965’s competitors), according to a press statement. Those looking to enter the “New Growth” category (beard, mustache, or combo) should head to the New England School of Barbering, 21 Village St. in Concord on Wednesday, May 13, at 8:30 a.m. for a free shave and official start photo.
Those unable to attend the official start event can still participate by visiting New England School of Barbering during Mon. 5/11 – Fri. 5/15 for their free shave and official entry; operating hours available at neschoolofbarbering.com.
Those who believe they already possess an award-caliber beard or mustache can participate without the shave – styling awards, including “Most Elaborate,” will be up for grabs. Judging and awards on Sun. 8/16at Memorial Field during Concord City Celebration Week.
