WATCH: Numerous Concord, other community firefighters were in the northern part of the city fighting a barn and brushfire on April 14.

CONCORD, NH - Concord Fire and Rescue teams were called to a brush fire off Bog Road on April 14, 2016, at just before noon.

Firefighters were called to the area for a report of smoke, according to Concord Fire Chief Dan Andrus, and when they arrived, found the brush fire.

The fire spread from brush to two structures, including a barn, on the 33-acre parcel at 63 Bog Road, located across the street from the Vineyards of Concord Condominium complex and to the west of the Concord Terrace apartment complex.

As firefighters arrived, it quickly went to three alarms, and mutual aid and forestry units were called in from Allenstown, Bow, Epsom, Hopkinton, and Loudon, all assisted at the scene or with mutual aid. By around 12:15 p.m., most of the fire was under controlled, with team members dousing areas to stop any new flare ups.

A barn and about three acres were burned during the blaze, according to Andrus.

"The fire was quickly controlled, but the barn was a total loss," he noted. "There were no injuries. The structures on the property have been vacant for some time and fire investigators were searching for a fire cause Thursday afternoon. Units from surrounding towns provided coverage for Concord’s stations and off duty fire personnel were recalled to staff reserve vehicles."

Teams were being dismissed from the scene at around 12:45 p.m., according to scanner chatter. At 1:15 p.m., only fire prevention was at the scene, attempting to determine a cause.
