Brush Fire Extinguished Near Quarry

Concord Fire called to the trailhead area behind Blossom Hill Cemetery yesterday.

Concord firefighters were called to a small brush fire on Oct. 19, 2015, in the afternoon off the trailhead behind the quarries and Blossom Hill Cemetery.

According to firefighters, about a 30-feet by 30-feet space was charred.

When they arrived, the majority of the fire was already put out by others on the trail who apparently discovered the fire. It did not spread like previous fires in the area earlier this year. It’s unknown at post time what caused the fire.
