Priorities

To insure that all the constituents of Concord of which there are four main groups (parents, students, taxpayers and school district employees) get full advantage of the recourses available to them within the constraints of limited budgets.

Why are you running?

This is my second time running for the Concord School Board and although some of the issues have changed since four years ago (primarily school consolidation), my desire to work for a strong school district and stronger Concord have not. In the last four years I have not been idle and have remained involved as PTO president at Broken Ground (two years) and as a member of Task Force 3 which was set up to help with the eventual disposition of the empty elementary school. I believe in a quality public education and that strong schools make strong communities. Strong schools create a positive ripple effect within a community by providing, in addition to a sound education and community pride, a magnet to attract families and small businesses. This ripple effect provides jobs when businesses move here and strengthen property values when a community is deemed a desirable place to move to and to live.
