Caught: Emu Bagged on Brown Hill Road

Neighbors capture the bird in Bow; Henniker sanctuary confirms that it's doing fine.

An emu that has eluded police and the residents of Bow for about two weeks has been captured, according to a story in the New Hampshire Union Leader.

Neighbors on Brown Hill Road in Bow captured the bird – one of the largest of its species – on Sept. 20, 2015. The bird was then taken to the Wings of Dawn center in Henniker. A spokeswoman for the center said that the bird was doing fine although no one seems to know who the emu belongs to.
